William Keylor is a professor of history and international relations at Boston University's Pardee School of Global Studies. He is the author of many books, including "The Twentieth-Century World and Beyond" and "A World of Nations: The International Order since 1945," both with Oxford University Press. He has been the recipient of Guggenheim, Fulbright, Earhart, Whiting, American Council of Learned Societies, and Woodrow Wilson fellowships. He was elected to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, has been named Chevalier de L’Ordre National du Mérite by the French government, and has served as the president of the Society for French Historical Studies.

At Boston University, he has received the Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Methodist Scholar-Teacher Award, and the Gerald and Deanne Gitner Family Prize for Faculty Excellence.
