Two weeks from now, the first depiction of the Boston Marathon bombing will be debuted on the big screen.

Two former classmates of convicted marathon bomber Dzhohkhar Tsarnaev from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School are premiering their student film, "Jahar," at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on April 16.

Directed by Henry Hayes and written by Zolan Kanno-Youngs, the film is based on the students' initial disbelief and experiences finding out their former friend was behind the deadly attacks. They joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss their decision to create the film.

This segment aired on April 4, 2016.
