Not Just Another Beatles Book

In July 1965, "Help" scored the top spot on Billboard's hit list. It was one of five #1 singles for the Beatles that year, and one of many in the "Fab Four's" career, both in the U.S. and in their native England.

Now, there's a new book about John, Paul, George, and Ringo, called "Meet the Beatles: A Cultural History of the Group that Shook Youth, Gender, and the World." Author Steven Stark recently spoke with Bob Oakes, who asked, "Why write yet another book about the Beatles?"

This program aired on July 19, 2005. The audio for this program is not available.
