MA Man Creates College Fund for Veterans' Kids

On this Veterans Day, Massachusetts is mourning thirty-eight soldiers with local ties who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. The toll has prompted one local man to try to help their kids.

Peter Trovato from North Attleboro created a fund last summer to help children of deceased service men and women pay for college. So far, the "Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund" has raised almost 250-thousand dollars in donations for 23 children of Bay State soldiers. Peter Trovato joins Morning Edition host Boab Oakes to talk about the effort.
