Boston's New Top Cop

The man who has overseen a dramatic drop in Lowell's crime rate will soon be the new Commissioner of Police in Boston. Edward Davis will start his new job in December.

When Mayor Tom Menino introduced his selection for the top cop job yesterday, he said Davis will bring to Boston a focus on community policing and community outreach.

WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov visited Lowell to profile Davis.
