First Sign-ups for Commonwealth Care
As of this week, roughly 15,000 uninsured residents in Massachusetts have signed up for the first coverage plans offered under the state's new health care law.
This insurance is free for anyone who earns less than the federal poverty level: that is $9,800 annually for an individual or just under $20,000 a year for a family of four. Here's WBUR's Martha Bebinger with a report on the experiences of some early participants.
