WWII Vet Remembers

For high school students thinking about entering the military, the war in Iraq is a major topic of conversation. Many of these students could end up being sent there.

Last week...veterans from another war, World War II, gathered at the Brighton Marine Health Center, and talked with a group of Brighton High School students-- many in Junior ROTC. A pilot from World War II answered the kid's questions about what war was like some 60 years ago.

The students spoke with World War II veteran Chief Master Sergeant Peter Haritos and moderator... health center CEO Kent Matthews. Our story was produced by WBUR's Abigail Beshkin.

This program aired on May 28, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
