Logan Lands Praise For Security

If you've flown lately, this will probably not come as a surprise: The government reported yesterday that more flights have been late this summer than at any time in the past 13 years.

But in this season of delays across the country, travelers at Logan Airport have one surprising reason to be thankful: Of the 27 biggest airports in the country, Logan is one of two with the shortest security lines.

Last month, Logan came in second to New York's La Guardia for the shortest time it takes to get to the front of line, the Transportation Security Administration says. The average wait was three minutes. WBUR's Fred Thys reports.
