Summer Postcard: Farm Stand

Boston is known for its abundant green space....the Boston Common, the Public Gardens, and the Esplanade, are examples.

But few who live in the city are able to plant crops and harvest their own fruits and veggies.

Fortunately there is a growing movement of local farmers bringing their fresh food into the city for sale.

In another of our series of summer postcards, today we visit the Union Square neighborhood farm stand in Somerville.

This program aired on August 21, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
