Sen. Kerry's Advice to Obama

John Kerry has served in the US Senate alongside Senator Ted Kennedy for the past 24 years. In that time, Kerry says, he has learned a great deal.

Four years ago in Boston, Kennedy spoke up for his junior colleague at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. Kerry was the Party's nominee back then. This year, he's now speaking on behalf of Barack Obama.

When WBUR's Bob Oakes spoke with Kerry at the convention center, they started by talking about the fact that some pundits say Obama is losing ground and needs to demonstrate leadership.

This program aired on August 26, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
