02:34

Plan to spend your "staycation" watching "vlogs" and "webisodes"?

If you're not sure what this means, you can turn to the latest edition of the Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary, published in Springfield, Mass. The publishers have added 100 new words to reflect changing trends in American society.

Merriam Webster editor Peter Sokolowski explains how new words get selected for the dictionary each year.

This program aired on July 9, 2009.
