T Driver Heads To Court In Crash

The Boston subway operator who allegedly was sending a text message when he plowed into another trolley, injuring more than 60 people and causing millions of dollars in equipment damage, is facing arraignment.

Aiden Quinn is scheduled to be arraigned in Suffolk Superior court Monday on charges of gross negligence by a person in control of a train.

Officials say the 24-year-old Quinn admitted he was typing a text message on his cell phone while operating a Green Line trolley car on May 8.

The trolley ran through yellow and red warning lights, then struck the trolley ahead of him.

Quinn, who broke a wrist in the accident, was fired by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority about a week later.
