Feds Conduct Raids In Southeastern Mass.

More than two dozen people have been arrested in a series of raids conducted by state and federal law enforcement officers in the Brockton area. Twenty-five people are facing drug-related charges linked to an alleged heroine trafficking ring.

The raids consisted of a multi-agency sweep of Brockton, Hanover, South Easton, Dedham, Lynn, Somerville and Stoughton. Sixteen search warrants were also executed in multiple counties Thursday morning.

Thursday's arrests were made in connection with members of the heroin trafficking ring. The members allegedly distributed the drug in Brockton and its surrounding communities.

The investigation looking into the ring began around one year ago, and the charges stem from court-authorized wire taps.
