Longtime WBZ broadcaster Dave Maynard has passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 82.

If you grew up on Boston radio, it's a name and a voice you'll recall.

Maynard retired from broadcasting 21 years ago. He used his high profile in greater Boston to help raise funds for muscular dystrophy, Easter Seals and Children's Hospital.
