Police: Cyclist Dead After Being Hit By Bus

Boston police say a woman in her late 20s is dead after she was hit by an MBTA bus.

A police spokesman said the accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Friday night. He said no citations have been issued and the investigation into what caused the accident is ongoing.

An MBTA spokesman said investigators are initially focusing on an MBTA bus that was in the area where the bicyclist was found on Huntington Avenue after falling from her bike into traffic.

He said details of the accident remain undetermined and forensic experts are investigating.

The name of the woman has not been released.
