Steve Martin Cancels Tanglewood Concert

The Tanglewood season got a little less wild and crazy this year as Steve Martin canceled his appearance with the Boston Pops June 23. The Boston Symphony Orchestra announced that the Pops was still expected to open Tanglewood and that Martin and company — Edie Brickell and the Steep Canyon Ranchers — were canceling because of "unforeseen circumstances." Could it be an arrow through the head?

Incidentally, the holiday Pops concerts begin Wednesday, Dec. 5.
