Tropical Storm Andrea Brings Rain To Mass.

Flood watches and warnings are in effect for much of Massachusetts through Saturday mid-morning, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea bring heavy rain to the Northeast.

High surf advisories are also in effect for coastal Massachusetts. (See county-by-county advisories.)

According to the National Weather Service, 2 to 4 inches of rain is predicted for parts of the state, with higher possible rainfall in isolated spots.

The rainfall is expected to stop Saturday morning. "The balance of your Saturday is partly sunny, breezy and warm," said meteorologist Mark Rosenthal.
