Boston Teen Charged In Fatal Hit And Run

A Boston woman is scheduled to appear in court in connection with the death of a pedestrian on a city street.

Prosecutors say 18-year-old Christina Martinez is expected to be arraigned Friday in Roxbury District Court on motor vehicle homicide and related charges stemming from the fatal collision reports at about 9 p.m. Thursday in the city's South End.

The female victim was transported to Boston Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

Witnesses told police the victim was struck by a gray Toyota Corolla that drove away from the scene.

The vehicle was located and impounded.

It could not be determined if Martinez had a lawyer.
