The entire Massachusetts Congressional delegation voted in favor of the deal to end the 16-day government shutdown and avert a federal default Wednesday night.

Rep. Richard Neal called the government shutdown "irresponsible and reprehensible." Sen. Ed Markey called it "a 16-day Tea Party temper tantrum."

Rep. Niki Tsongas joined WBUR's Morning Edition to discuss the overnight vote and what it means to move forward.

This program aired on October 17, 2013.
