Obama Calls To Congratulate Sox Manager Farrell

President Obama called Red Sox manager John Farrell Monday to congratulate him and invite the team to the White House to celebrate their World Series title.

“Hopefully there’s a chance somewhere around Opening Day next year when we open up in Baltimore that we might be able to swing by as a group and say hello," Farrell told The Boston Globe.

The Sox open their season against the Orioles on March 31.

A press release from the White House said President Obama "remarked on the incredible pitching performance by Koji Uehara, and extended his congratulations to David Ortiz on being named the World Series MVP."

Meanwhile, Ortiz has been making the rounds on national media. Tuesday morning he was on “Live with Kelly and Michael” and Monday night he sat down with David Letterman. Watch some of his Letterman appearance below:

This program aired on November 5, 2013. The audio for this program is not available.
