New Bedford Deaths Appear To Be Murder-Suicide

The deaths of two people found inside a New Bedford residence are being investigated as a murder-suicide.

A spokeswoman for Bristol District Attorney Sam Sutter says police found the man and woman on Brock Avenue when they responded to 911 calls at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

They were identified Thursday as Sharif Goode and Mabilia Maranhao, both 22.

They were dating and the location in which they were found appears to be Goode's residence.

The deaths remain under investigation and autopsies are scheduled to determine the cause.
