Boy Struck By Commuter Train In Westwood

A 14-year-old boy has been injured after being struck by a commuter rail train near Westwood.

Authorities tell New England Cable News that Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority police say the teen was trespassing late Monday afternoon when he was struck near the Islington stop on the Franklin line. He was flown to a Boston-area hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Service on the rail line was interrupted while officials investigated. It has since resumed.
