As he tries to win confirmation as a superior court judge, Massachusetts Parole Board Chairman Joshua Wall is now touting his record with the parole board.

Wall made his first remarks Wednesday to the panel that accepts or rejects judges.

It was the second day of hearings held by the Governor's Council, which will take up the controversial nomination again next week.

WBUR's Deborah Becker joins Morning Edition to report on what went on during the second day of hearings that members of the Governor's Council have called unprecedented in terms of responses both for and against Wall's nomination.

This segment aired on September 25, 2014.
