A Look At Fallujah, The Bloodiest Battle For American Forces In The Iraq War, 10 Years Later

Friday marks the 10th anniversary of the second battle of Fallujah. It was the bloodiest battle for American troops of the Iraq War, with nearly 100 dead, including a Marine from Massachusetts.

WBUR's Alex Ashlock joins Morning Editiong to report on the battle that was part of a mission to clear out insurgents in the city near Baghdad. Ashlock will also discuss the battle on Here & Now later this afternoon. Hear the full report in the audio player above.
