Boston Police Investigating Fatal Fourth Of July Shooting In Dorchester

Boston police are investigating a fatal Fourth of July shooting in Dorchester.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 10:45 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Holborn and Glenburne streets. When officers arrived they found two male victims in their 20s suffering from gunshot wounds.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not yet identified the victims or any suspects.

According to The Boston Globe, the shooting was Boston's only homicide over the holiday weekend, though seven people were shot or shot at between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
