President Obama used Labor Day and Massachusetts as his stage to announce national changes surrounding paid sick leave. He has signed an executive order mandating up to seven paid sick days for employees of federal contractors.

Obama announced the order at the Labor Day breakfast sponsored by the Greater Boston Labor Council.

And as WBUR's Simón Rios reports, some union members used the event to speak out about other labor concerns.

This segment aired on September 7, 2015.
