Boston Man Held Without Bail In Marshfield Slaying Case

A Boston man charged with the violent slaying of a Marshfield man has been held without bail.

James Ferguson of Dorchester pleaded not guilty Monday in Plymouth District Court to murder and other charges stemming from the Sept. 16 death of 43-year-old Robert McKenna.

McKenna was found dead in his home of several stab wounds and suffered massive blood loss.

Authorities also announced that they are seeking two other suspects in connection with McKenna's death, and several items believed missing from the victim's home, including gems and two guns.

Ferguson, who used to live in Marshfield, has a long criminal history that includes 46 convictions. His lawyer refused to comment.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive but said McKenna often talked of the gems he had in his home.
