Forecast: Humidity Goes Down Making For Warm, Breezy Weather Today

Minimal showers moved through the area overnight. Although there was even some strong to severe storms briefly yesterday, overall, once again, much of the area has missed significant rainfall.

The next chance of rain is Monday, which means lots of warm and sunny weather in the meantime.

Humidity levels will be moderate to high this morning, but fall throughout the day. Any morning clouds will depart and leave a partly sunny day. There will also be some wind today with temperatures in the 80s. The winds will be gusty at times, drying out the air and the ground.

Look for more sunny and dry weather Thursday and into the weekend. Humidity levels are going to be moderate and it won’t be crisp and comfortable at night for sleeping.

The weather will be great for the beaches, lakes and general outdoor summer activity. Temperatures will average anywhere from 5-8 degrees above where we might typically find them during the second half of August.

I don’t see any significant change to the pattern over the next week to 10 days. Enjoy the sunshine.

Today: Partly sunny. Highs in the low- to mid-80s, still humid early then turning drier during the afternoon.

Tonight: Mainly clear and more comfortable. Lows around 59 in the cooler valleys to 66 in Boston and other metro areas.

Thursday: Partly to mostly sunny, moderately humid. Highs 82-88.

Friday: Warm with sunshine. Highs in the upper 80s.

This Weekend: Mainly sunny. Highs will be in the mid- to upper-80s.

Monday: Some showers possible, but not widespread.
