Man Fatally Shot In Dorchester

Boston police are investigating the death of a man in his 20s they say was shot and killed Wednesday night in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.

The shooting took place at around 7:45 p.m. in the area of 10 Ripley Road in Dorchester, police said in a statement. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police a man in a black hoodie ran up to a group of friends, which included the victim, standing on the sidewalk and fired approximately seven shots.

It's unclear if anyone else was injured. No arrests were made, and no further details were available.
