For the first time in school history, Wellesley College has an African-American president. Paula Johnson took the reins at the school on Friday.

She previously was the chief of women's health at Brigham and Women's Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

WBUR's Louise Kennedy was at Wellesley College for the inauguration and produced this report, which begins with Johnson's words to the school.
