Forecast: One Cool Day And One Muggy Day This Weekend

Today is going to be a very chilly day along the coastline, as wind off the water keeps readings in the 50s. If you are west of Route 128, temperatures will probably reach the low-to-mid 60s this afternoon. All of us will contend with a lot of clouds; it's generally going to be a rather gray day.

Of course for many the weekend arrives around 5 today, and I'm sure many of you have plans tomorrow that involve the outdoors. There is going to be rain tomorrow, there's no doubt about it, but I do think there's going to be several dry hours early in the morning and then a period when it's cloudy with a little bit of drizzle later on in the afternoon.

In other words, it's not a complete washout, and if you need to get outside there will be moments where you'll be able to. But it's not going to be sunny, bright and beautiful. Temperatures will still be in the 50s and lower 60s, with the coolest readings right at the water.

On Saturday night, the humidity will creep up and by Sunday we'll be back with very muggy and warm air with temperatures into the 70s. There's a chance for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, but I think we'll see some sunshine poking through the clouds. It's the type of day where you just need to be aware of the risk of showers and thunderstorms but go ahead with your plans.

Monday looks better, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures mainly in the 70s. Humidity levels will also have fallen. Have a great weekend.
