Today's Weather: Summer-Like Temperatures Return

Tuesday featured more clouds than I expected. Humidity levels increased a bit throughout the day and it was difficult to scour out the clouds. The real humidity arrives today with dew points getting into the middle and upper 60s. It's not going to surprise me if a few spots even record a 70-degree dew point.

Along with the summertime humidity will come temperatures in the 80s. The exception will be across Cape Cod, where a southwesterly wind will keep readings down in the 70s, but still warm. Morning clouds today should dissipate and leave us with a mostly sunny afternoon.

The very warm weather won't last long. A cold front will move east on Thursday. This allows cooler and drier air to filter into the region. Temperatures tomorrow will stay in the 70s and be even cooler on Friday remaining within a degree or two of 70 degrees.

During this time, the chance of showers is small; perhaps an isolated one Thursday morning.

It's not too early to talk about the weekend. Readings will be in the 70s to approaching 80 degrees on Saturday, but I do think that there's going to be more clouds than sunshine.

My pick of the weekend looks to be Sunday, when readings will be approaching 80 degrees. I also think Sunday has more sunshine.
