15-Year-Old Girl Held Without Bail In Fall River Stabbing Death

A 15-year-old girl charged with fatally stabbing a 68-year-old woman she was staying with in Massachusetts has been held without bail.

Heavenly Arroyo faces a murder charge in the death of Ana Vazquez in Fall River. Arroyo was charged as an adult and pleaded not guilty in open court Monday.

Prosecutors say Arroyo had been living in the apartment with Vazquez and her grandson for about two weeks. She previously lived in Rochester, New York.

First responders found the victim suffering from about 20 stab wounds at about 5 p.m. Sunday. She was pronounced dead at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Authorities did not disclose a motive.

John Geary, the suspect's attorney, says Arroyo was permitted to live in the home and he plans on investigating her psychiatric history.
