What a stunning day it was on Thursday with all the sunshine and the angle of the fall sun creating a dazzling display through the autumn colors. Today is still going to be a nice day, although we will see an increase in clouds as a cold front approaches us from the west. This front may kick off a quick shower overnight, but generally it will pass through without any fanfare.
Temperatures Saturday will be somewhat cooler than today, staying in the upper 50s to just around the 60-degree mark. We're not going to see an increase in clouds until night; rather, it will be mostly sunny through the entire day.
I've written about how quickly weather systems are moving this week. The Sunday weather maker will be a storm system coming in from the Ohio Valley. This storm will bring a half an inch to an inch and a half of rain across the region, starting sometime Sunday morning and lasting through the day and into the evening. It's going to be one of those days where the temperature stays in the 50s. Add in the rain and it's perfect for heading to a movie or getting any indoor chores complete.
It’s back to a blend of clouds and sunshine for the start of the work week, with temperatures right around 60 degrees. I'm not expecting any really cold weather here in New England next week, although there will be a blast of very chilly air moving through the center portion of the country. It remains to be seen whether or not this air makes it here for Halloween or not. More on that next week.
