The first and only grocery store in Boston's Seaport neighborhood opened for business Friday morning.

The Trader Joe's at 44 Thomson Place is part of a redevelopment of three old warehouses off Seaport Boulevard.

If you were hoping you'd be able to get so-called "three-buck Chuck" (yes, formerly "two-buck Chuck") wine at this long-awaited store, unfortunately, the California-based chain's Seaport spot doesn't carry alcohol.

It is, however, within walking distance of Trillium Brewing Company and several hotel bars.

The opening of the Fort Point Trader Joe's was first announced in July. It's the third franchise location to open within Boston city limits, and the grocery store is also among about 20 other Trader Joe's to open nationwide in 2019.
