Military officials have identified the marine allegedly involved in the death of an Emerson College student who suffered fatal injuries in a scuffle after leaving a party.

Lance Cpl. Samuel London is currently being processed for "administrative separation" in connection with the case, according to Lt. Heather Chairez of the Marine Forces Reserve in Louisiana. Local authorities have the "full cooperation" of the U.S. Marine Corps, she said.

No charges have been filed in the case. Police have said they're investigating 19-year-old Daniel Hollis' death as a homicide. He was a sophomore at Emerson.

Police say he sustained a severe head injury in the Sept. 28 incident and later died Oct. 2 at Brigham and Women's Hospital of blunt force head injuries.
