Man Shot And Killed Near TD Garden Early Saturday Morning

A man was shot and killed in the area of Canal Street in Boston early Saturday morning, according to Boston police.
Authorities responded to the call for a person shot around 2:00 a.m. on Canal Street near the TD Garden, and found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died of his wounds, according to a statement from police.
The victim has not yet been identified by police.
A vehicle was seen fleeing the area of the shooting, and was stopped by police at the intersection of Canal and Causeway streets. During the stop, officers found a firearm and, after further investigation, arrested the two men in the vehicle.
Bryan Rice, 22, and Anthony Baptista-Goncalves, 24, both of Boston, were arrested and face numerous charges, police said in a statement.
Both men are expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
