Boston Man Charged With Killing Mother

A Boston man has been charged with killing his mother.

Officers responding to a call went to home in the city's Dorchester neighborhood at about 2:20 p.m. Thursday and found the victim inside, police said in a statement.

The victim's son, Zackery Grandy, 22, was later arrested and is expected to be arraigned on a murder charge Friday.

The victim's name has not been released. Police did not say how the woman died or disclose a possible motive.

It could not be determined if the suspect had an attorney who could comment on the charge.

The woman's death was the city's 10th homicide of the year, police said.
