Today's Weather: Milder, But Unsettled

We finally got a nice day Wednesday with high temperatures in the upper 50s, although, as expected, Logan Airport stayed in the 40s.

Thursday will feature a lot of clouds and a couple of showers, but there could be some sunny spots as well. On balance, the day is dry, so I wouldn't worry that it's going to be a washout.

Thicker clouds move in Thursday night, and there should be an area of steady shower activity along with some heavy or downpours Friday morning.

A thunderstorm could crop up Friday afternoon. Temperatures will be mild, getting into the 60s. You'll definitely notice a greening of the landscape as a mild rain has a much bigger impact compared to the colder rain.

I've been wrestling with the Saturday forecast for several days. I think that there is still the risk for a couple of showers, but I also think that we may be drying out during the afternoon with some sunshine and temperatures getting into the 60s.

Sunday is still my pick of the weekend. It's going to be a nice day, right around 70 degrees. Monday is also mild.
