Massachusetts COVID-19 Deaths Surpass 5,000

More than 5,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the state, according to the latest report from the state Department of Public Health.

The department said on Monday there were 129 new deaths, bringing the total number to 5,108. This is just over a week after the state surpassed 4,000 deaths.
