Today's Weather: Hot Days On The Way

Yesterday was a gorgeous day and now we have the beginnings of a heat wave. Today is a transition day so we have a couple of weather systems bringing us the chance for a few showers this morning, and again this afternoon. Some of you could see up to a quarter of an inch of rain, whereas other folks will absolutely see no rain at all.

I recommend if you do have some plants that need water, you get it done today and get them set for the upcoming heat with adequate moisture.

Tomorrow and Sunday are both summer days with temperatures in the 80s and mid-90s. Sunday will be a little bit warmer than Saturday, with more humidity as well.

High pressure will keep the heat pump going early next week. Eventually sometime later Tuesday or Wednesday, the high will begin to break and temperatures will fall out of the 90s. But it will remain quite humid.

Skies should be clear enough tomorrow night for a glimpse of Comet Neowise. Look to the northwest after 10 p.m. and use binoculars. It's about three fists under the big dipper!
