High Winds Cause Power Outages Across Mass.

It's a blustery and rainy Christmas Day.

A wind advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.

More than 3,300 customers are without power across Massachusetts as of 1 p.m. Friday, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

MEMA director Samantha Phillips said any outages could be lengthy. The major utilities in the state brought in extra crews to prepare for the storm.

"I know the crews are going to work incredibly timely to try to restore power, but just be prepared that you could be without power for a day, potentially two days for a storm like this," she said.

The rain is expected to end between 4 and 8 p.m.

WBUR meteorologist David Epstein said Saturday is forecasted to be sunny, breezy and cold in the 30s. Sunday will be much of the same.
