Massachusetts Republican Party Chair Amy Carnevale overcame opposition Saturday to win reelection to another term.

Carnevale's second term will get underway on the heels of a 44-27 vote in her favor over challenger Jimmy Davidson, the party said.

In a statement, Carnevale thanked the committee and called it a "smooth election process."

"I look forward to working collaboratively with State Committee members, Republican Town and City Committees, and activists across the Commonwealth to continue our progress," she said. "Together, we will focus on electing Republicans to restore two-party governance in Massachusetts and advocate for the values that resonate with communities statewide. On to 2026."

Republicans are shut out of all U.S. congressional offices representing the commonwealth, and Democrats have held control of the Massachusetts House and Senate for decades. Republicans didn't lose ground in the Legislature during last November's elections, and President-elect Donald Trump performed better in Massachusetts than in 2016 or 2020.
