This Boston doctor wants to collect your health data for 'societal good'
Many people are concerned about the privacy of health data collected by smart phones and watches.
But a researcher at Brigham and Women's Hospital says sharing this data can actually be "an investment for societal good."
Dr. Calum MacRae is the lead researcher of a new study with Apple that wants to understand how data can predict and manage wellbeing. He joins WBUR's All Things Considered to discuss.
