Photos: Blizzard bears down on Boston

A blizzard dumped snow along the East Coast on Monday as winds whipped causing widespread power outages and dangerous travel conditions. The storm froze travel along the coast from New Jersey to New Hampshire.

In Boston and much of eastern Massachusetts, streets were mostly empty Monday as plows tried to clear paths. Power outages led Gov. Maura Healey to institute a travel ban in the southeastern part of the state while crews work to get back on the grid.
