The Politics Of The Pie

This week, a mischief-maker who goes by the moniker Jonnie Marbles, attacked News Corp's Rupert Murdoch with a shaving cream pie as he testified to the British Parliament about the phone hacking scandal.

Pie throwing is common enough form of political protest. The list of those on the receiving end is both long and distinguished: Ann Coulter, Bill Gates, Sylvester Stallone, Anita Bryant, Tom Friedman and Andy Warhol to name only a few.
