Meet The Interns, Spring 2016

We're extremely proud of our two new interns this semester for responding promptly to the semi-regular "introduce yourself to our digital audience" email. (Unlike, say, the fall 2015 interns...) They are both fantastic new temporary additions to our staff, and we're eager to introduce you to them.

A Piece Of Audio (Music, Radio, ANYTHING) That Means Something To You, and Why: The opening scene of "The Newsroom" because it might be one of the greatest monologues in HBO history.

A Thing About You That Has Nothing To Do With Radio or School: I love to end my Saturdays with some hip and hilarious improv.

A Piece Of Audio (Music, Radio, ANYTHING) That Means Something To You, and WhyRadiolab’s "Sight Unseen," which describes a photojournalist’s experience capturing a medevac team trying to save a gravely injured soldier. The podcast raises questions surrounding images of war — who decides what gets seen? What does the public have a right to see? I love this podcast for raising such questions and also for its careful and descriptive storytelling; the combination of sound, narrative, and dialogue crystallizes the photos, their power and their impact.
