The Massachusetts Democratic party convention in Worcester this weekend has been called the most contentious in years.

Five candidates for the primary ballot went into the convention and only three attracted enough votes from delegates to stay in the race.

Three names will greet voters when they step into the booth on September 9 for the Democratic primary: state Treasurer Steve Grossman, Attorney General Martha Coakley, and Dr. Donald Berwick.

Guest

Dr. Donald Berwick, pediatrician, health policy expert and Democratic candidate for governor. He tweets at @berwickforMA.
