Actress Shohreh Aghdashloo is an Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actress who currently stars in the Syfy channel show "The Expanse." She's also known for her roles in the movie "House of Sand and Fog," and the television show "24."

She says acting was frowned upon in Iran, particularly for women. She left the country shortly after the 1979 revolution.
