"The trial of Lizzie Borden, according to the Providence Journal, would be 'one of the greatest murder trials in the world's history," writes Cara Robertson in her new book, "The Trial of Lizzie Borden." The book recounts the story of Fall River's Lizzie Borden, who was accused and then acquitted for the gruesome murders of her father and stepmother in 1892.

Cara Robertson will be at the Fall River Historical Society on March 27 and at the Boston Athenaeum and Harvard Book Store on March 28.
